A dead SoC is rare. Common failure points are:
Battery: Swollen, discharged too deep, or protection circuit tripped. Try charging with a known-good charger and cable for at least 30 minutes.
Power management IC (PMIC): These fail more often than processors. If PMIC is damaged, device shows no power signs.
Screen: Sometimes device is on but screen is dead. Check for vibration, charging LED, or PC detection via USB.
Firmware/boot: Corrupt boot partition can make it appear dead. Test EDL (Emergency Download) mode via button combo or test points.
Moisture or board damage: Can short power rails, shutting the phone down permanently.
Processor failure usually occurs only after severe overheating, liquid ingress, or board-level damage.
Next steps:
1. Test charger/cable.
2. Hold power + volume down for 20–30 seconds.
3. Check if PC detects device over USB (Qualcomm 9008 mode).
4. If no response, likely hardware(battery/PMIC/board). Needs board-level repair
