Why does my controller have stick drift onto the left joystick
Whenever I try to go up on my left joystick it doesn't work until I press on it

Stick drift is a very common problem with any type of video game controller, Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo and controllers eventually get stick drift.
You'll need to either replace the potentiometers or replace the whole thumbstick assembly. This will require soldering. YouTube is full of tutorial videos, if you prefer reading theres also guides here on the iFixit website.
