What type of thermal paste does Apple put on the Platform Controller
I have liquid spill damage to my Mac Book Pro. It was about three weeks old when it happend. I am a single parent and really know enough about how to work on a computer to be dangerous. With that said I have replaced my keyboard and purchased a brand new logic board. My problem comes in with thermal paste. The main heat sink that the fans blow through covers the GPU and the Processor. They have the artic silver thermal paste on them. The Platform Controller Hub has a white paste on it. I am trying to find out what it is exactly and where I can purchase some. I have been trying every where I can find to ask what it is. I am wondering if it is a silicone base thermal paste? If anyone has some advise it would be a big Help!
Thanks!

Thanks for replying! I thought about using the artic but didn't know if I could. Also I wondered about the over heating if there was a difference in the two. The Platform Controller only has that flat heat sink on it. But I will definately look into the Thermalright Chill Factor3. I will let you know how it comes out.
Thanks again for the info!

Okay I received my logic board from china and installed it went really good. I now have my Mac Book Pro back working. I used the Artic Silver creamique 2 thermal compound on the Platform Controller and on the Thunder Bolt. Both of these had heat sinks but niether shown having one in the teardown guide. I hope that this will Help someone else with a liquid spill. I forgot to mention that I also replaced my keyboard.
