I got my hands on a pre-owned Steam Deck, and it crashes, freezes, and is generally randomly unstable. To my knowledge, the only missing component is circled in the image. I think it's a capacitor, but I could be wrong. I'm trying to find the specs of it to replace it

that looks to me like a resistor. capacitors are orange and resistors are grey. if you look at it under a magnifying glass there should be 3 numbers on it. the first two numbers is your ohm value and the third number is the exponent (x10^x), i.e. '473' is 47 with 3 zeros so 47000Ω or 47kΩ. side note. if your last number is 0, it means there are NO zeros. 470 is 47Ω not 470Ω. its not really possible to get the size from a photo, you'll have to measure it with callipers if you have some with enough resolution

SMC do not have any markings imprinted. You need the component layout diagram or a donor board to measure the values.
