Screen Replaced, But Wifi and Bluetooth stopped working

Hi

I have MacBook Pro M4 A3112.(Nov'24). this is my first Macbook.

Initially display screen had some damage, so got the screen replaced and i notice both Wifi and Bluetooth has stopped working.

I took back to the repair guy who helped to replace the screen, but he has no clue why Wifi and Bluetooth are not working.

please find the attached the screenshots and photos I took as part of initial diagnosis I could do.

Please advise, what could be the issue and how to resolve this ?

Thanks

RB

Update (01/24/26)

Hi @danj

I did reformat whole Macbook and reinstalled OS. Seems issue still persists.

I connected the MacBook to my router using Rj45 cable with the help of connector so I can access wired network connection to internet.

However I tried to do offline diagnostic and I got the error CNW001 . Have attached screenshot.

Power charger wasn't connected to macbook when I ran the diagnostic so the error PPP020 can be ignored in the image here, as I see the MacBook is working fine when charger is connected.

Let me know what option i have to resolve this CNW001 error.

I am using wired connection for Internet for now, not a substantial solution.

Thanks

I used an Ethernet cable and was able to connect to internet.

The pic was taken with ethernet cable on !

A bit confused... As the images don't allow the system to be connecting via Ethernet at the same time. Do you mean you are now able to connect via WiFi allowing the system to join the internet to finish setting up using the Ethernet connection?

The fact the MAC Address is not showing up tells me the hardware configuration needs to be done either via the Apple paywalled tool if you bought the Display from them or if using the newer MacOS release the Configurator tool it has needs to be used.

I couldn't get this tool.

I am very to new to mac and still learning.

I installed an app called configurator till, however it didn't had any device and I couldn't add my macbook to it all.

So still searching how to solve for this.

@ranganmac - What is the macOS version you have installed? See if upgrading to the latest gets you the tool as it's built in the OS now.

par

@ranganmac - Did you run the configurator tool? If you did did it run through without error?

Diagnostics is a different tool, with the error CNW001, let's see if resetting the WiFi logic helps Reset or remove Wi-Fi network settings on Mac

This is a hardware issue, he will have to replace the logic board/WiFi chip

Hello @albertzweistein. How do you know this is a hardware issue? Did you had the same issue? In that case, how did you solved it? Actually, I just changed my A3403 screen, and after replacing the screen the WiFi stopped working too. I cannot even turn it on. I am facing same WiFi icon (WiFi with the exclamation mark in the middle in my top bar). After reinstalling or even perform an OS downgrade, as I was in the last OS version, the issue still persists. Internally antennas are connected but motherboard or WiFi chip was not even touched during the screen repair.

This happened to me as well. I took a screen from a M3 Pro 16" to install it on a M4 Pro 16". The M4 Mac didn't want to power on with that M3 screen. So I installed back the M4 screen and now the WiFi doesn't want to turn on (same as yours). The Airport adapter (en0) won't show up in the System Information. Restoring the macOS via DFU didn't help.

How did you resolve this ? Or issue still persists ?

No solution. Perhaps the wifi chip is gone so we will need to replace it or get a new logic board...

par

@albertzweistein - It appears your setup is a bit different as you have a visible MAC address unlike RB. So I don't think your logic board has an issue here. More likely the antenna unit is not connected properly or just bad. Did you try running the configuration tool which as been added to the newer macOS.

par

@danj I did run the configuration as RB did and I got the same result. No WiFi module was found.

par

@danj Btw, this is showing MAC address for the ethernet adapter, no the WiFi.

hello @benonmadombwe, can you confirm if this is true? Now my laptop is under repair after the WiFi gone, but I would like to know if the issue was caused by the technical service by installing the wrong screen model. After it was installed, everthing was fine in my test: True Tone enabled, apple detected the screen as original, HDR videos in youtube looked very good. The only thing that was not good was the WiFi, but it was working good the same day before the repair.
