PS4 Pro won't turn on, probably PSU fault

Block Image

A couple of months ago, I tried to disassemble my PS4 pro and it didn't end well. Long story short, my PSU was a bit bent and I broke traces on the edges. I soldered it, but it didn't work - when I pressed "turn on" button, a blue light was emitted for a second and instantly turned off. Furthermore, PSU connector was torn off, so I had to solder it too. Recently, I bought a new PSU thinking it would make my console work. But no, nothing changed. Except, now it makes 4 short beeps after the second attempt to turn it on (I marked a place where the sound comes from). I'm clueless; it SHOULD work. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!⏎

Hi!

Can you show the solder work you did there? It could be caused by broken traces, faulty APU or any other motherboard issue.

Most likely related to the motherboard since you already tried a new PSU..

First, I torn off this connector myself and soldered it. Then, later, my cat saw it and chew it off again, this time with more severe damage to connector. 2 of 4 pads were torn off completely. One of them I managed to restore but 'acin_det' pin was gone completely. Then I found this reddit post:

Where the OP had the similar problem. And according to his guide (in the comments) I soldered a wire from 'acin_det' pin to +5v SBY from the other side of the motherboard.

I double checked connection with multimeter, it's all ok, but I couldn't find the place to check the '5vsb' pin, the last time I checked it, it was okay too.

Update:

Checked all the pads from the end of the connector to the points from the other side of the board (image included)

They're fine

Okay, it does look like it's related to the 4 pin power connected so far. I'm afraid you need to replace it and check the other traces as well. Something is going on there in that section. If nothing is working, I think it's for the best to replace the motherboard. BUT this will be more expensive :(.
