Battery dont charge even if the notification does pop up

Recently i had to repair an iphone 15 pro max with the problem being that the electricty went off and after that the battery wont charge.

I tried replacing the battery but it wasnt the problem, it keeps having the same problem.

I dont see any other problem, the battery strapped to a activation tool charge, but while in the phone, the notification pop up that is charging, and telling that in x minutes will charge to 80%, but it only goes down.

I dont know what could do to restore it, any help or comment is appreciated

(Sorry if i have a bad english, im argentinian)

If the phone shows the charging notification and even estimates time to 80%, but the percentage continues to drop, that usually means the charging circuit isn’t actually delivering current to the battery.

Since you already replaced the battery and it behaves the same, the issue is very unlikely to be the battery itself. On an iPhone 15 Pro Max, this points more toward:

Charging IC / Tristar-type logic
Power management (PMIC) damage
Charging line damage from the power outage
Board-level short

The fact that the battery charges normally on an external activation tool confirms the battery is fine. The phone is just not passing charge internally.

If the device stays on long enough, check:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data

Look for panic-full logs. You can upload those to an online panic log analysis tool to see if there are power management or charging-related errors.

You should also run an online full battery metrics analysis and review charge/discharge rates. There are online battery log analysis tools that can confirm whether the phone is registering charge current properly.

Given your description, this is most likely a board-level charging circuit issue and may require microsoldering repair.
