How can I reattach a ZIF connector latch if it broke off?

So, I broke 3 of the clasps off. Joycon, two of the bottom screen ones. How can I reattach them? I’ve looked at tutorials but the thing about 3DS ZIF connectors is that THEY ARE NOT BUILT THE SAME (see image)

How do I reattach a ZIF latch with this odd port? Do I have to take the ports off and solder new ones on? I want to get my 3DS up and running again.

Here’s the images of the ‘damage’

Also, here’s how the latch should normally look while it’s on.

Hi!

It’s very hard to get the latches back on (almost impossible). I’m afraid that you need to solder new ones in…

Sorry for the bad news :(..

Oh. How should I go about removing the ports and soldering new ones on then? I have little experience soldering so I’m afraid I’ll mess up the motherboard doing so.

Okay, in this case I would contact a local repair shop. It is micro soldering what you need to do…

Not sure if you paid someone to repair yet but you can just slide the pins back into the latch by aligning it correctly then just click it back into place. No soldering necessary. I had this issue notoriously when I first started repairing and it’s pretty easy if you’re patient and don’t rush it. Only works if the latch is in working condition. 10 min concentration vs expensive repair for a crazy easy fix
