My steam deck died iwhen I was playing but when i went to charge it nothing happened. The battery wasnt swollen and everything looked fine. Anyways when I tried to charge it again, it started smoking from the USB-C , so i unplugged it immediately and the charger was burnt. I cleaned the usb-C port and took out the motherboard and now im thinking the USB-C itself is damaged since there is discoloration in the back of the port. What do you think? Also, does anyone know what part number this is? I believe its a fuse , but it came offand its right by the battery connector.

I would agree that if there was a short in that port it is more than likely damaged and would need to be replaced for it to work again. Based on the photo of the port either theres definitely something in there or the middle "tongue" got melted and disfigured either way the port is heavily damaged. As for the part number I'm sorry I'm not sure what that is. I would say its the USB C cable that was broken in this situation as when you plugged it in the first time and nothing happened it was probably damaged already but not quite in the right position to connect to the pins(or something like that) but on the second go around it was put in normal contact and shorted the port. To repair this its going to be a hefty job:
1) you absolutely need to replace that port (lots of soldering and "hot-airing"
2) luckily from those photos it looks like there was no melting on the board however if there is any physical damage to the motherboard It's highly likely that it may need to be replaced as well (damage could be things like melting from the heat of the short)
3) the power chip that handles the power on the board also has a very high chance of being fried from the short (probably even the source of the smoke)
4) anything else that may seem melted or damaged in any way. I know that's vague, but I'm really not sure how many things could be damaged due to this short. An example of this may be the thing to the left of your USB port in the picture of the bottom of the board its probably a fuse, but it looks damaged and will probably need to be replaced (may even be the source of that mystery part)
honestly with it this messed up your best bet is probably to see if it's covered by any form of warranty or extended service kind of thing which is sadly unlikely due to the console itself's age, and the even worse option to get go looking for another one. With the current market of the steam deck that will be near impossible to scalpers and price hikes, I'm also in the market for one and haven't been able to find one under $1000 in a year.

Thank you ! I found another steam deck for $300 and now I’m seeing what steam says .. it is a second hand steam deck so I’m not expecting too much .i think it’d be worth fixing though . I got quoted for $85 so I’ll see how that goes .i mean I initially bought for $30 so not losing much here ! I did take off the connector and there was extensive damage.
