A whistling sound usually means air is moving through a small gap or there's a restriction in the airflow. Check whether the filter is clogged, the hose or nozzle is partially blocked, or if any attachments aren't fully connected. If the whistle only happens when it's plugged in and running normally otherwise, it's often an airflow issue rather than an electrical problem.
