Will the battery from a 17 inch PowerBook G4 Aluminum 1 GHz work in a MacBook Pro 15 inch Model Identifier 3,1?
The batteries look the same but I don't know about the connector or if the battery voltage is the same.

They are not compatible. The first have Apple equivalent replacement part numbers: M9326G/A, A1039, M8983G/A, 661-2822, 661-2948, A1057 or MC-G4/17 while the second uses Apple equivalent replacement part numbers: MA348GA, MA348G/A, MA348LL/A, MA348LL, MA348LL/A, 661-4262 or 661-4600
