How to adjust diaphragm /aperture

Hi,

My camera diaphragm /aperture setting it out.

Now it is producing very bright pictures and sometime totally whitish with horizontal strips.

Canon repair center is asking for 100USD for repair, which is too much for this old camera.

I want to learn How one can set/adjust diaphragm/aperture of a fixed lens camera ?

If possible please answer to fb_951753@yahoo.com as well. or send me camera repair manual.
