Jacob Doerr, if you are referring to the "Lightning" data cable, if it is wrinkled close to the connector, it is most likely a broken wire. I just finished a repair on one of those. It's a bit of a pain, but if your know how to solder, and have the tools to do it, it is doable. Cut the insulation around the wrinkled area carefully with a sharp blade. You will identify a total of four wires, plus the ground, Check the wire for any break, in my case it was the red one. Strip the insulation of the broken wire and solder the ends together. Use either electric tape, or a dab of hot glue from a glue gun to provide an insulation for the repair. Then try it out and see if it works. If it does, finish the repair off by either using electric tape, or heat shrink tubing, to provide a replacement of the insulation on the outside of the repair. Otherwise, you will have to get a new cable from places [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SYZ8OC/ref=amb_link_367864082_3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=hero-quick-promo&pf_rd_r=00R012JCZAQR9CKD5VWD&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=1447663242&pf_rd_i=B0097BEF1S|like this.] Hope this helps, good luck.
