This seems to be a very common (and recurring) problem with Galaxy S3 phones. One alternate, thinking outside the box possibility: rather than replace the port, justalternative is to buy a battery wall charger (very cheap, less than $3) and maybe an extra battery (likewise cheap) and charge your phone battery that way. Less hassle, no soldering.
