Why is the brew cycle stopping before it has finished?

Texte:

I filled the water reservoir to 14 and hit the brew button.  The machine begins to brew and then after a few cups stops and the finished tone beeps.  I set the clock and turned off the program on/off.  And the 1-4 button is also off.
