How much to fix the hinge

Someone tried stepping over my laptop, missed and ended up stepping on the screen and laying it flat out. The hinge on my laptop is not broken but the plastic covering it is coming off. Would I  have to replace the entire screen itself to fix it or is there a way for me to just replace to plastic?
