As far as the still newer Intel [https://ark.intel.com/products/126684/Intel-Core-i7-8700K-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-4_70-GHz|i7-8700k] Apple hasn't used it yet in any of their systems and the micro code in the EFI won’t allow it. The best this system will support is a 4.2 GHz Core i7 (I7-7700K).
