Green is the same as yellow for this purpose....but I think you should be able to change the audio settings from with the tv menu....sometimes there is more than one channel....because the tv needs to switch from internal tuner to external devices....for audio.As for no signal..again once your yellow cable is connected to a scart convertor with rca inputs you should be able to select av1 or av2 etc through the tv menu.

I would have thought if the ninerendo has hdmi out...that port also covers audio...but you need to select passthrough.
