Had a similar problem with a 5D MKIII, replaced the Sensor Ass'y, Main PCB & Mirror Drive PCB with test parts and didn't fix it, figured Main PCB was corrupted so downloaded and installed Magic Lantern (only on the memory card) ran the test's it comes with and fixed !!!
