Okay so error 1002 is a baseband error. Either your baseband software is bad and you need to flash to the newest version, or the baseband hardware is shot. If your hardware is shot, guess you need a new logic board etc. But as I just researched some more on that issue I did find that Sn0wbreeze 2.5.1 will bring a fix to iTunes "error 1002 & 37 which was mainly experienced by iPhone 3GS users while restoring iOS 4.3.1 custom IPSW coupled with iPad baseband 06.15.00."
