I jadhad the same problem. Fixed it by: Use a power extension cord and stand about 1 metre from the doorbell when connecting the chime. The reference to no wifi‘no wifi’ is because the doorbell sends a wifi signal to sync up the first time. This worked for me and then after that the chime connected to my home wifi and i could put the chime anywhere in the house. Good luck, it took me Several FristrationFrustrating attempts to work this out.
