The Toshiba Satellite L505D has a design defect that causes the chips at L4519 on the board to come unsoldered under the touchpad. There is no clearance between the touchpad ribbon connector on the underside of the palm rest and the inductor and capacitor (L4519 on board) and pressing the touchpad causes the inductor and capacitor to come unsoldered over time This causes the loss of USB, audio, and camera. These components are extremely tiny (like a couple of grains of sand) but can be replaced by an electronic repair person who can solder that small. The parts are less than 25 cents but the disassembly, soldering, and reassembly could be expensive. I had a friend who could do this work and when he finished he took an old credit card and cut it so it fit over L4519 to keep the stress from the touchpad off them. The laptop USB, audio, and camera worked fine after this was done. There are YouTube videos of this defect.
