Hi Shawn,
It's hard to say exactly what's going on with your phone without seeing what the screen looks like, but so far from your description it sounds most like you will need to replace the LCD display. We can probably give you a more definitive answer if you can take a picture of what the screen looks like. Here's a guide on how to add pictures to your question.

That being said, I didn't find any written guides to replacing the display on your phone, but there are guides out there for similar phones such as the A10 and A10S.
If you do end up having to replace the screen, generally there are two ways to do it. You can replace just the LCD or you can buy one with the frame preattached to it. There are advantages and drawbacks to both.
++LCD without frame++
Advantages
* Less disassembly of the entire phone required
* Cost is usually slightly lower
Disadvantages
* More fragile, so easier to break during assembly/disassembly
* Needs to be sealed securely to the frame
++LCD with frame++
Advantages
* LCD is preattached to frame, so less chance of damage in the process of removing and replacing it
* Better structural integrity with a preattached frame
Disadvantages
* Significantly more work moving all parts within the frame to the new frame
