When the Settings dial on top of the camera is on Auto, the camera is supposed to automatically be set to take Photos when the camera is powered on. However, it instead automatically opens to Videos. There is no setting on the Settings dial that permits the use of the AUTO function to take PHOTOS. I’ve installed new batteries and also used the “restore factory settings” function. Is there a setting in the Menu on the LCD screen that I could have accidentally chosen that is causing this problem?
