Mon problème

One of our users got his iPhone absolutely soaked, and wanted to pull the phone apart so that it had a better chance of coming back to life. According to him, we just had to pull the phone apart, remove the battery, and let it sit for a while.

Removing the battery went awfully, neither of us had any idea what we were doing. So after a whole bunch of prying and spudgering, the battery finally came out. But batteries aren't supposed to be all kinds of flexible and have puncture marks

Ma solution

After receiving the part, and READING THE GUIDE repair went very smoothly. If I ever have to do it again, I'll likely avoid using the double sided tape; it's more trouble than it's worth, and not fun nor easy to remove (even if installed per directions, and removed using the same).

Mon conseil

Make sure you feel confident with the instructions before you start. Look up the parts that you need, and have them on hand. Don't listen to people who "Saw this video on youtube, and it doesn't look that hard."

Oh, and get the iSclack. Removes so much worry when opening your device.
