iPhone 5c rear camera replacement

Mon problème

The problem I had with my camera was that I pointed a green laser into the lens and burnt it. Was a great idea to see all the beautiful colors on the screen but not such a good idea afterwards. After I did some research and found out that the high frequency light had damaged my camera lens I felt embarrassed :)

Ma solution

So I began with ordering the wrong part. I somehow managed to order the iPhone 5 rear camera instead of the 5c. So thanks to the helpful lads at iFixit they set up RMA for me to return it and I ordered the right one.

The repair itself went well and quick. I've changed parts on some iPhone 4's and 4s before but the 5c was a lot more straight forward.

I also like to add that the Pro Tech Toolkit that I purchased with the part is by far the best precision toolkit I've had.

Mon conseil

Well the advice. Just beware of the front assembly cables that connect to the MB at the top of the unit when you lift up the screen. From there it's pretty much easy.
