I had a 500 gig external hard drive that the case had failed on and I could not retrieve my stored information, almost 400 gigs worth.
Ma solution
I received Exactly what was described when I purchased the adapter. The instructions were simple and it worked like a charm. I was even able to use it on 3 other drives from past crashed lap tops to get some things I thought were lost forever.
Mon conseil
The process is simple and the directions that came with it kept it that way. I must say I am impressed with IFIXIT, According to my order I should have received the adapter on a Wednesday but it showed up Monday, 2 days early in my eyes. Then I received exactly what I had ordered and it was NOT damaged, something I have not experienced with other companies. And it worked as advertised. Very happy customer.
