Mon problème

Charger would act sporadically. Sometimes charging and sometimes not, sometimes depending on position of the cable. Laptop would heat up above the "esc" key (approximately where the I/O board is). Battery life was non-existent.

Ma solution

So I replaced the I/O and battery and before that the top case. Real easy. Use screwdriver, unplug, rinse and repeat. iFixit's website could coach a 10 year old through it.

My Advice: Always use IFIXIT!* (Especially for batteries)

I've been dealing with computers for over 15 years and would rank iFixit as top 20 tech companies I have had a great experience dealing with. Up there with Amazon and Google. Would've spent thousands at the Apple store on many occasion, but instead I give my business to iFixit in exchange for their knowledge, support, and great parts.

*except screws everything else they are kings... have purchased 3 batteries from various places and iFixit had the best one.
