EXCELLENT! I'd replaced the HD in towers before, but never a laptop. When I opened the ifixit package, I thought I'd just have a look through the how-to on your site to see what was involved, then do the actual work when I had more time, in case anything went sideways. But then I just kept going, and before I knew it, the job was done!

Mon conseil

You might mention in the how-to that after the new HD is installed, it's still unformatted, and you need to open Disk Utility & "erase" it in order to create the partition(s) so that you can then install the OS. Before that, the OS installer can't see the drive.
