MacBook Trackpad Replacement

Mon problème

I helped my niece purchase her first used computer. When it arrived the trackpad wouldn't click. Instead of sending it back for a refund and realizing we would lose the shipping to and from and then not have a computer, I decided to go ahead and replace it myself.

Ma solution

Part was delivered in a timely manner. Followed the step by step instructions which were very clear (good instructions and images). Was done in less than 10 minutes and it worked perfectly.

Mon conseil

I did have to invest in a decent little tool kit to make sure I have all the tools required to do the repair/replacement. This took kit included the Tri-tip screwdriver, full set of small electronics regular screwdriver set (phillips and common head), and a small set of torx screwdrivers. I also needed a "spudger" and a good pair of tweezers. It helps if the screwdrivers all have magnetic heads. Some of these screws are pretty small so a good set of readers or electronics glasses with a light.
