I bought new lcd and digitizer because I was not sure if I can remove the digitizer without messing it up. The tools that came with it helped but I have to buy a heat gun and a tool better than a plastic spudger. With the heat gun set at 400 F it was easy removing the digitizer. I removed it without damaging it and I only have to replace the LCD. I also use a 4 clamps to make sure the digitizer stay in place especially I did not replace the adhesives. I clamped it for 2 hours and my IPad 2 looks great.
