With a thousand apps and a three year old battery.... Something had to give... Phone had survived flushes down the toilet, drop kicks across highways and free falls from great heights... It deserved a new ticker!
Ma solution
It went better than a pee-up in a brewery! Instructions were clear and concise, images were informative and well marked... About ten minutes of very intricate maneuvers and the Operation was complete... Without fault. On completion the phone was immediately returned to action leaving a very content owner in it's wake.
Mon conseil
Enlightenment was required ... This is not a repair I would like to have done in poor light, the screws and alignment fixtures are very small and compact, and the reassembly is without a doubt a critical element of the process as there is little room for error. Needless to say patience and attention to detail and this repair is a breeze and well recommended, as the alternatives are not good ones.... ranging from $50-$150 where the equivalent scenario to this repair is the $150. Or of course a new phone... where the expression having "more money than sense" seems very apt.
