Mon problème
Apparent dead battery that would no longer take a charge.
Ma solution
Repair was generally fine. The suction cup did not hold well (tried many times) so had to use more leverage to pry open case and did a little damage to the case edge as a result.
Mon conseil
Turned out that the batter was not the problem. The problem was a faulty charge port. I had completely and properly cleaned it before I undertook the battery replacement so assumed it was the battery.
