Mon problème
After I fixed the power button issue (which went great btw), the phone would shut down, then pause 1 second and then power back on. Apparently, no matter how quickly it is retrieved and dried, if you drop your phone in a small bit of water dock side down, it has tendency to corrode some of the connectors and causes this to happen. I don't use this phone any longer, but I broke my screen for the 6s that I DO use, and wanted more experience before I worked on my phone that isn't paid for yet. Also, if I screwed up my screen replacement I would have to use this backup phone until I made it all better.
Ma solution
Repair went amazing. Exactly as I expected and no real surprises, except that I am continually surprised anyway that I was able to get it all back together without losing anything. I use a 30 egg, egg crate for all the screws and parts.
Mon conseil
I bought the headlamp and even though the guys at work make fun of me and take my picture while I'm bent over working on a very old iphone.....it works, and I don't regret it in the least.
