most difficult part was the cracked glass did not come off in one piece. tape helped to keep small pieces from flying - i recommend safety glasses - the heating pad was ok

the heating pad was a challenge - i resorted to hair dryer because of the challenge of so many little glass sections. getting the glass to separate from the edge was a challenge but more easy after I realized where the edge was actually. some other companies use a metal scraper type - i wouldn't have minded to use something like that but you run into the issue of damaging things with metal. be careful
