Phone had to be positioned just right for it to charge. Lightning cable would often come out.

The step-by-step guide on here worked perfect. The adhesive on the charging port assembly took a little more prying than expected but since you’re essentially replacing the whole thing it’s hard to damage anything. There were a couple pieces that need to be reused from the old part but they’re fairly easy to recognize.
The best part - my phone charges properly again! No need to have it in a particular position, no more charging on and off on and off on and off etc. and the lightning cable fits snug.

Just follow the guide and take it slow. Make sure to keep track of the screws.
