New battery kit for 15" MacBook Pro, late 2013 model

Mon problème

My original batteries had swollen to the point, my lid would not close properly and the trackpad didn't work at all. I had purchased a new 1 Tb SSD from OWC Mac Sales and told them about my batteries and fortunately they referred my to iFixit.com

Ma solution

The repair went great... I just went very slow, took lots of breaks and followed the instructions. Then, the stress and anxiety of the first power up... Hit the button, both speakers beeped, keyboard backlight came on and the system booted... WITH the lid able to close and the trackpad working perfectly. I wish I had taken photos now. But, all in all I'm thrilled. It's like having a new computer. $600 for the SSD, $100 for the batteries and I didn't need to pay Apple over $3000 for a new notebook.

Go for it, and take your time. It is not difficult, just go step by step and pay attention to the details.
