Mon problème

Someone at my school emailed me, asking if I could fix a display on a MacBook. His

friend had dropped it, causing about an inch of display at the top to be unusable. I said I could do it, and ordered the part.

Ma solution

It took about a week for the part to arrive (I don't recommend UPS Ground from iFixit if you live on the east coast - USPS is faster). The MacBook also had the rubber peeling problem, so I ordered that from Apple. Once the part arrived, It took about 30 minutes to install, most of which was trying to insert the connector into the new display. The bottom case was easy to install, just 8 screws.

Mon conseil

Have the right tools, and the repair will go smoothly. If the rubber on your macbook is peeling, don't pay for a new bottom case. Apple will send you a new one for free. The cable is very hard to put back in, I got the best results when I tilted it all the way back, as it gives you more length.
