Read the reader comments first

The button was fairly unresponsive. It worked only once every few presses so it was very hard to double click.

Ma solution

It went well -- eventually. Based on the ifixit storyline I pulled a ribbon connector the wrong way and separated the socket from the motherboard. This was a showstopper. Then I read the reader's comments and saw that other people had had the same problem and why! Fortunately I was able to solder the socket back onto the motherboard, not without a bit of luck, and finish the repair successfully.

Mon conseil

If only I had read the reader's comments first I would have been more careful and probably avoided breaking the socket.
