2006-2013 Toyota Corolla Cabin Lights Replacement (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013)

Introduction

This guide is specifically to replace the cabin lights of a 2006-2013 Toyota Corolla which is also known as a Toyota Karra, Hepburn, Toyota Sprinter, and Toyota Auris. Cabin lights are a safety feature so when using the car at night the driver and passengers can see when entering and exiting the vehicle and is a useful feature if it's necessary to see something inside the cabin when driving.

Cabin lights are located in the interior of your vehicle to provide more light in the passenger seat. If this light burns out, follow this guide to replace the cabin light bulb.

Before proceeding with this repair, make sure to have a Festoon Bulb that is 12 volts by 8 Watts (12V-8W). Also, make sure that your car is off and in park.

We will now begin the repair to replace Cabin Lights for a 2006-2013 Toyota Corolla.

Insert the end of a spudger into the narrow openings at the bottom of the light cover and pry up to release the light cover.
After completing this step, the lid will be loose and could fall on your face if you are not careful and catch the lid on time.

Remove the light cover.

Pull back the mechanism holding the bulb in place and remove the old bulb.

Insert the new bulb into the end of the holder with the hole.
There is no specific bulb orientation for this step, either side can be inserted, and the light will still work.
