If the Acer Aspire One D255-1625 crashes often before the screen goes black, use this guide to replace the RAM card.
The RAM card is responsible for temporarily storing computer data and affects total device performance. A defective RAM can cause frequent crashes, freezing, and black screens especially when using an application that requires a lot of memory usage.
Note: Before replacing the RAM, ensure that the device is powered off .

Pull the upper left switch on the back of the laptop to the left into the unlock position.

Pull the upper right switch to the left and hold it in place.

Use iFixit’s Jimmy tool to remove the bottom panel of the device.

Wedge the tool into the top middle of the panel until the back gently pops off.
