    • Make sure your Chromebook is fully powered off before continuing.

    • Close your Chromebook and flip it over on its back.

    • Remove the 12 screws holding on the back cover with a Philips #1 screwdriver.

    • Use a spudger or pry tool to release the clips and remove the back cover.

    • Occasionally, one or both of the screws located on the corners next to the hinges will not unscrew. This is because the screw thread underneath has broken off and is spinning as you turn the screw. To get the screw out, unscrew all the others first, then push up on the back cover at about a 30 degree angle while unscrewing the "stuck" screw.

    • Carefully peel back the tape covering the battery and keyboard connectors.

    • Attach the antennas as shown in the picture (white on the top and black on the bottom) by carefully snapping the connectors on using your fingernail or a spudger. (labeled "B")

    • Reconnect the battery to the motherboard by pushing the plug into its connector.

    • Screw in all 12 screws to hold on the back cover.
