In order to not damage or stress the motherboard, following a proper process is necessary in replacing this M.2 SSD. Be sure to keep your computer on a table away from any carpet or non-hardwood flooring. Keeping a static free environment is necessary to reduce the risk of shocking the circuits within your components. Remember to disconnect all USB devices and the power cable for the computer to avoid bodily harm.

Remove the front panel.
This may involve one or two thumb screws depending on your case.

Detach the PSU cable from your graphics card.

Unscrew the back panel screws to release the graphics card.
Release the PCIe switch.
Be careful when using a tool as you can damage the motherboard if the tool slips.
Take the graphics card out vertically.

Unscrew the heat-sink screws.
Remove the heat-sink vertically.
It is important to remove it vertically as there are pins on the right side that must not be bent.
