This replacement guide will teach you how to remove the fan from your ASUS device and give information on how to clean it.

  1. Place the computer upside down. Using your thumbs, slide both latches away from each other (towards the outside).

  2. Remove highlighted screws. Gently open the cover using the tab located by the highlighted box.

  3. You will see a set of red, yellow, and black wires going to a white connector. Unplug these wires by pulling straight up on the white connector and away from the computer. Make sure not to pull on the wires (as shown in the second picture). The white connector should pop off with very little force.

  5. Grab the set of wires that you disconnected earlier and pull straight up. The fan should remove easily. In our pictured fan there are a few pieces missing.
