thanks for the step... please where can i buy the motherboard online.
anyone know what the part number is for the audio combo jack?
My mobo has some damaged mosfets due to a faulty charger. I tested both voltage and amperage with a multimeter and theres a part of the mobo that’s not receiving any power, I figured out searching on the web that there are a few mosfets that regulate voltage on the mobo and there is one that’s not giving any output power at all. The mobo turns on for a few seconds starts the BIOS configuration then turs off and doesn’t start at all for about 4 hours or so. if I connect the DC adapter the charging led turns on for a few seconds then turns off again once every few hours. My laptop is out of any warranty and I really wat to fix this, I can’t afford a new laptop or a replacement mobo
now many sellers on ebay have cheap motherboards for asus x551ca, it’s more expensive to fix a motherboard than to buy a replacement.
