    • Depending on the model of Ferrari you own, you may need to remove several bolts that hold the badge in place.

    • The badge that is being removed in this tutorial is from the Ferrari 458's front passenger side, and the bolts can be found underneath the inner wheel well.

    • Warm up the badge using your heat gun.

    • Take care not to over heat the badge! You're only softening the adhesive underneath the badge, not cooking it.

    • Think of how warm the exterior of a car gets when it sits out in the sun during the summer. That will act as your reference point.

    • Using the plastic prying tool, carefully pry up one corner of the badge, and slip the floss underneath.

    • You don't want to use too much force on the prying tool, as this can result in denting.

    • Draw the floss back and forth in a sawing motion and simultaneously pull it along the perimeter of the badge until it detaches from the panel.

    • Do not use metal fishing line or metal wires, as these will damage your paint.

    • With the badge removed you can now use soapy water and the abrasive side of a sponge to remove the excess adhesive. Other products such as Goo Gone or Goof Off are also excellent adhesive removers.

    • Take care not to scrub not too hard, as this can ruin your paint.
