WARNING: Before beginning this guide, turn off the power from the circuit breaker, and turn off any light switches that provide power to the item you’re working on.
Position a sturdy ladder beneath the light fixture.

Hold onto the fixture with one hand, and use the screwdriver to start unscrewing the fixture with your other hand.
If possible, have someone else hold the fixture for you.
Caution: Be careful not to drop the fixture. Broken glass can be very dangerous.
