The GN ReSound Multi Mic is a very useful hearing aid accessory. It is a high quality portable speech and audio streamer that streams directly to a hearing instrument from either its internal microphone of from plug-in line level audio.

A second used Multi Mic was purchased as a back-up but is was discovered that the mounting clip was loose and finally fell off. The seam between the front cover and back had a slight gap and appeared to be the means of separation. DO NOT DO THAT! The previous owner did and broke the attachment posts inside the case.

The clip is held with one T6 machine screw that threads into an interior, rotating backplate. The screw access is hidden by the metal (logo) cover plate attached to the clip. The screw cannot be removed or tightened easily because of the rotating backplate, so Multi Mic case must be opened.

The front and back are actually held together with three T6 TORX screws, hidden by rubber plugs (Blue) that can removed with a toothpick or the ifixit tweezers. Once the screws are removed (a small magnet is helpful) the two halves can be carefully taken apart.
