My stick vacuum works for about five seconds and then blue light flashes and cleaner stops working! Filter has been de clogged , could it be the battery?

    phoenix23 - Réponse

I am very disappointed with the battery life as although the machine is not used a lot the cleaner only lasts for a few seconds before the blue LEDs come on.

2 pieces of black plastic came out of the battery compartment. Any ideas?

    arnie a - Réponse

Re Pauline's query back in 2018, I can confirm it takes a bit of force to remove the old battery. Nothing broke in the process for me.

I paid just £30 for a black & decker dust buster 10yrs ago & you tell me you want £60 for a replacement battery pack after 3yrs. Dyson has to do better. Your records don’t show that you agreed to replace the pack while the product was under gaurantee so this battery isn’t even 2yrs old!

Yup we have three stain animals in our house two are just over one year old and the other is a little over two years. None of them hold a charge anymore

Had a dyson V8 Animal a little under two years and already needing a new battery.

Think I will go back to using a corded machine which lasts a lot longer and costs a lot less to buy. Sorry dyson but I’m not impressed.

My new Dyson cyclone V10 absolute is not working.. A flashing red light appears on the side of the battery.. also a red flashing lite when the trigger is pulled or when the charger is inserted to begin charging. It will flash rapidly for 15 seconds… in iether instance..

I see the problem being the cause of the NEW battery SENSORS .. THE BATTERY IS IN A SHUT DOWN and NEEDS a RESET to stop the blinking red led and begin to recieve its recharge. And stop its reporting back to the device that is not operational and its just cooked

Any suggestions on how to do a reset or proper testing and bypass the sensor and recharge the battery enough to let it begin a new or become a working condition battery as it was and still is supposed to be.. I have maybe 2 hrs on its since it was brand new.

Wow, our Dyson 6 ( I think ) has had one battery for about 6 plus years and finally gave up the ghost. I’ve ordered a replacement and this video was very helpful

thanks

I got both animal and large Corted dyson , the battery is not charging on the animal and the other head fallen apart, dyson made sure all parts are different so I cannot use animal head on the other dyson ?!?!?!?!!!!!!’ Going back to vacuums that work, duck much better, no hidden angles where dust collects and it stops working, and can use for years without head or battery issues, very dissapointed will never recvomend to anyone

I agree with the above ref.the “Battery life" of the Dyson v6 animal.l feel that other models from different companies would exceed the time for a Dyson.

Mine is three years old. Disappointing that I need a new battery. I expected more from Dyson.

REPLACE THE BATTERIES you idiots

there is nothing on the market that comes even 50% as good as the dyson

The design on these devises are simply cutting edge. Why do you think that ALL the others try and copy the design?

When you have 3 times the power suprisingly enough, you also require more battery use and as outstanding as the technology Dyson use in the power packs, there is simply nothing newer than the nickle cavdium tech’ that they use that will last longer than (for example) a couple of hundered recharges before requireing replacement.

I suppose you brought a Dyson hand vac and pretty much use it all the time rather than drag your old corded vac around the house? then you wonder why it didn’t last so long. Go get A REPLACEMENT BATTERY PACK.

Quality costs & black and decker is cheap because it ‘s crap that dosent work anywhere near as good as the D-suck

My Dyson DC58 hand vac wiould suck start a Harley and for that plus the reeduced timne spent getting a job done well is wort the cost all day long

Kind of the same old story. Spent a lot of money on the Dyson, have to spend another $40+ for a new battery because the old one won’t run for more than about a minute. And no, I don’t use mine any more than I did any other much less expense handvac, so I can’t really say it’s work the money anymore. I’m not cleaning my entire house or vacuuming up big piles of dirt and other debris, just little household messes, which much less expensive models will do with ease.

Thanks for making this an easy fix. Let’s hope the replacement battery lasts.

IDGI…confused. “*This* can’t be it,” I thought while bottoming out the cherry blue clicky space bar like a 909 snare, hammering out 1/64ths jungle style, trying to cut to the chase, enthusiasm in abundance, Dyson battery full of miniature flat-heads like a Spanish bull on a bad day. But I guess not, I must have misconstrued the “fix” in I fixit, naively assuming this was an oasis, a counterpoint to the “I-consume” of the rest of the I-net. Instead of posting how your repaired it, you authored a commercial… beautifully lit well composed photos any Art prof would ? your use of fill flash, nearly blowing out highs but dramatically stopping just short of that, You absolutely nailed it! WOW! Andl look at the irresistible in-your-face bam-Bam-BAM! Only your subject, all else holocaustically removed! The result is you have complete control over the audience, no love, no dialogue, only BDSM. That part I loved! You’re a virtuoso, 100% [But where’s the beef? How to fix it? Why throw out the BMS board, for example?]

Very disappointed in my Dyson stick vacuum. I bought this as a retirement present to myself to save my back and stop marks on walls and furniture from dragging a barrel. I have a small apartment and the battery stops after about 3 minutes on low suction. Would never buy another Dyson or recommend. Karen

It was very helpful when I was about to return the replacement battery I had purchased. It came with no instructions. After opening the dust container the screw which held the battery in, nearest to the body, was inaccessible. The guide showed how to remove the dust container and after that the screw and old battery could be easily removed and the new unit fitted. Thank you.
