This guide requires the a size 0 Phillips head screwdriver and a plastic opening tool. If you believe you are having a hardware issue that involves your keyboard, use this guide to access the keyboard for troubleshooting purposes. If you have determined that there is an issue with the device's keyboard, you can use this guide to replace the keyboard as well.

Make sure that the device is turned off and that all external devices are removed.

Using a size 0 Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four 3 mm size 0 screws attaching the hard drive casing to the device.

After removing the hard drive, you now must remove the motherboard. Start by pulling out the ribbon cable that attaches the touch pad to the motherboard.
